Expert herbalist, Dr. Bieler has developed a natural herbal remedy formula that can be immensely helpful for people who struggle with recurrent phlegm even when it’s not productive. Traditionally, it is used to clear stubborn congestion during or even after the cold has passed. Ancient Ways® Cough Ease is an adapted version the of a classic Traditional Chinese Medicinal Herbal formula has been a long time client favorite. As with all our formulas, they are certified Kosher, and 100% Vegan. They are gluten and casein free.
In the normal course of events our lungs dissipate moisture with each breath. That is why moisture tends to condense on a cool spoon if we place it in front of our mouths and exhale. If due to illness, fatigue or pathogenic processes the lungs cannot dissipate this moisture then it may accumulate as mucous and trigger the cough reflex as the lungs labor to clear themselves. This formula helps the lungs to thin, dissipate, transform and disperse the accumulated phlegm and restore normal function. For this reason, many of our clients find it quite helpful with what is described as a “dry cough.”
Contents:
60 capsules per bottle.
Ingredients:
Bai Bu (Stemona) moistens the lung and alleviates coughs. In repeated studies it has demonstrated both treatment effectiveness and a preventative function for whooping cough. It is known to have a broad antimicrobial function which includes streptococcus Pneumoniae and Aureus and is traditionally used in the treatment of bronchitis.
Jie Geng (Platycodon) Research has demonstrated a marked increase in respiratory secretions following the administration of this herb. For this reason, it is considered to have a strong expectorant effect and helps to thin the sputum. Traditionally, the herb is viewed as having antifungal as well as antitusive properties.
Bai Qian (Cynanchum) is considered a “most important herb” in the treatment of lung Qi blockage and stagnation. It has the ability to redirect lung Qi downward while clearing phlegm.
Mai Men dong (ophiopogon) has the ability to inhibit the growth of staphylococcus albus and E. Coli. It nurtures the lung and is used to moisten thereby counteracting the dry, burning effects of some coughs. The herb is also used to lower blood sugar levels and nourish the beta cells in the pancreas.
Zi Su Ye (Perilla Leaf) is sometimes used as a common food to wrap around other food items in a manner similar to the way we may use grape leafs. The mildly warm nature of this leaf promotes the flow of vital energy.
Chen Pi (Tangerine) Redirects the lung Qi downward to ease coughing. It has long been used for its’ expectorant and anti-asthmatic properties. It can alleviate stagnation of the lungs and stomach and for this reason is sometimes helpful in the treatment of bloating as well.
Ban Xia (Pinellia) When, properly prepared, is a strong antitussive, which is often used in combination with Chen Pi for stubborn coughs.
Hua Xiang (Chinese Hyssop) is considered to be a strong antifungal. It transforms dampness and along with Ren Shen (Asian Ginseng) it helps to revitalize the energy of the lung.
